Dear Human Resource Professional or Hiring Manager,
Introducing – William (Bill) L. Hunter, PMP
412-251-9234 mobile no. email=coyote.ridge74@yahoo.com
Shown are some highlights from my CV or resume. I am well qualified in project management, particularly
Planning & Scheduling and Risk Analysis.
Shown below are several career highlights and attributes that may not be prominent in my CV or resume.
I have built a successful, experiential and performance driven career in Program and Project Management.
This includes a wide diversity of projects, industries and geographic locations.
Join Aker Solutions as a Manager of Planning & Scheduling for US and Canadian Construction Operations. I
was promoted to a General Manager after 18 months, primarily for creating outstanding client satisfaction
(Nova Chemical, American Electric Power and others). The work was done through participation on several
project teams. We implemented the organizational enhancement to move Program Planning & Scheduling into
the Construction Operations circle of influence. This move was successful and increased the organization
effectiveness.
Consulted internally to the Houston Operations to support a major proposal for an Oilfield project in the Alpine
field (west of the North Slope - Alaska). The project involved installing 14 well heads and moving modules on
the "Ice Road" during the execution. Being one of few people with Arctic experience, I was able to contribute
to the proposal team. Though Aker was not the successful bidder, we helped establish a relationship with
Conoco for future business.
Introduced and mandated the Schedule Risk Analysis practice at Aker, This work enhanced client satisfaction
during numerous proposals and supported the Project Execution Model, Stage Gate process. The Schedule Risk
practice lead to numerous mitigation strategies by focusing on high risk paths in executing various programs
and projects.
Lead Consultant on a number of Energy Services projects with Houston Lighting & Power (now Centerior
Energy). Commercial and Industrial customers were provided incentives to reduce electric demand during peak
hour, by installing chilled water or ice storage systems. I was the lead consultant on signing the largest number
of Thermal Storage projects, in the US, with one school district customer. This program won an Edison
Electric Institute award, and was shared jointly between, Centerior, Carrier Corporation and the Trane Co.
Served on the Global Reference Group to produce the Application Blueprint to roll-out and implement
Primavera P6 on a global basis using a high level Enterprise Structure. The Enterprise Structure was scalable
and suitable across Business Lines for Aker and assured project execution consistency. This group met in Oslo,
Norway 3 to 4 times a year and met the deliver-ables as planned.
I have consulted on IT projects using an Iterative approach to Agile project management as well. This
modeling required understanding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Developed and introduce the "Plan of Plan" process for major client proposals. This process proved very
successful through planning and measuring all the deliver-ables required to produce a major proposal. This
process was used in a Consortium with Siemens to secure a major $1.3 billion coal fired power plant project.
Aker had $700 million for construction and Siemens had Engineering and the Scope of Supply.
Consulted on a $200 million hospital renovation at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. The work allowed a
small contractor meet the DOD Earned Value ANSI standards required for progress payments.
